making our mark

i read the profiles of Juan Wilson. to me it seemed that we have a lot in common. like him i am also having a hard time being away from home. Unlike him though i only live in the flint area so its only a 8 hour drive for me. During my first semester i went home way more than i should have, but i missed my family and friends so much i thought it was the rite thing to do. one thing that i did do before i went home was make sure all my class assignments were done. i thought that by doing that i would be ok, but was i ever wrong. I do plan on taking summer classes but at home in flint. i have a business that i run during the summer and my little brother is not quite old enough to take care of it yet. now that the second semester has started ive made a few more friends and dont feel so alone anymore. By talking with my instructors and getting the help i need i should be able to get off probation and be able to succeed at my college career.
